Norton Resident Becomes Big Sister of the Year Finalist

During the annual Big of the Year event, hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay, on Thursday, May 16, Norton resident, Sheila Kilday, was recognized as a finalist for the national Big of the Year award. The event honored six Boston-area Bigs, Sheila as one of them, for their outstanding work and accomplishments in the area of volunteerism.

Featuring a keynote and fireside chat with former Boston Red Sox catcher and fan favorite Jason Varitek, now special assistant to Red Sox General Manager Ben Cherrington, the event last night allowed attendees to mingle with other former Boston sports greats including Boston Bruins alumni Tim Sweeney, Tommy Songin, Reggie Lemelin and Bob Miller as well as Big Brothers Big Sisters national spokesman, Darrin Smith, who is also a former Little Brother and two-time Dallas Cowboys Super Bowl Champion.
