Norton Resident Wayne Janelle Promoted to Vice President, Commercial Lending at Middlesex Savings Bank

NATICK, Mass. – June 5, 2013 – Middlesex Savings Bank President John R. Heerwagen has announced that Wayne Janelle has been promoted to Vice President in the bank’s commercial lending organization. Janelle, who has been with Middlesex since 2009, serves business borrowers in southeastern Massachusetts from the bank’s south regional office in Franklin. He came to Middlesex Savings after five years at Strata Bank; before Strata, he worked at Webster Capital Corporation.
Janelle is treasurer and a member of the board of directors of Jeff’s Place Children’s Bereavement Center, Inc., which serves youth of the Metrowest area from Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland. He is also a member of the Loan review committee of South Eastern Economic Development Corporation of Taunton, a certified SBA development company.

Wayne is also chairman of the audit committee of Grace Episcopal Church of North Attleboro, where he has been a teacher of children’s chapel for 32 years. Previously he was treasurer of Medway Pride Day, vice president of the Medway Business Council, and Speech Judge for the Medway Lions Club. He also is a former managing coach in the Babson University Coaching for Leadership and Training Program.
Wayne graduated from Northeastern University in 1978 with a degree in business administration, and he holds an MBA from Babson University. He is a native and current resident of Norton, Mass. He and his wife Rhonda have two adult daughters. His hobbies include cabinet and furniture making, fishing, kayaking, and snowshoeing.
