Begonias--Not Just Your Grandmother's Houseplant

Tuesday April 12, 2016 7:00 PM Begonias--Not Just Your Grandmother's Houseplant

Priscilla Purinton, founder and president of the award winning RI Begonia Society and an RI Certified Horticulturist and Master Gardener, will take us on a journey to explore the world of begonias that are amazingly varied, with over 1,500 species found around the world. From tiny plants that can live in a teacup for years to giants with leaves over a foot across. And for those who are outside gardeners, begonias have become the new summertime planter favorite--learn how to incorporate them into your container gardens!

This presentation is open to the public and free of charge. Please bring a canned food donation for the Cupboard of Kindness Food Pantry in Norton.

This program presented by the Chartley Garden Club of Norton.
Location: Community Room
