Bishop Feehan to Celebrate Catholic Schools Week

Events to be held Jan. 30 - Feb. 3

Bishop Feehan High School will be participating in Catholic Schools Week starting Jan. 30 and ending Feb. 3.

"We are proud of the impact we have had on the Catholic community for the last 50 years,” said Bill Runey, principal at Bishop Feehan. “We continue to stand on the proverbial shoulders of the Sisters of Mercy who guided so many young people in the teachings of Christ."

The school will kick things off Monday by celebrating academic leaders. Faculty and staff will be treated to Dunkin Donuts coffee, bagels, and donuts.

On Tuesday, Anchor Club and P.A.W.S. will hold a special candlelight prayer service 7:15 a.m. for the continued success of Catholic Schools.

As part of Student Appreciation day Wednesday, will receive ice cream in the cafeteria at all lunches. This will be provided by the Student Council. This day is also to celebrate catholic identity by praying for each other.

Thursday, the school will celebrate service in catholic education with a liturgy 10 a.m. This is an appreciation day for those in church leadership who strengthen faith through service to others. All local clergy and Catholic elementary school principals are also invited to the Mass Thursday. A luncheon will be held aftewards in Mercy Hall, complete with a commemorative cake in honor of Feehan’s 50 years of Catholic Education.

Bishop Feehan will wrap things up Friday with an assembly at 1 p.m. to “celebrate their gifts.” Senior Class Officers will host “Feehan’s Got Talent,” in which there will be singing and other acts.
