You could stand on a corner and look around until a restaurant sign draws you in. But we've got a better idea. Each week, Norton Patch will pick a great restaurant either in town or nearby that is worth checking out.
Here's this week's choice:
Overview: There are two Fresh Catch locations in Easton: The first is a seafood store and café and the second, more well known, is the restaurant in North Easton. The restaurant has every type of seafood available, as well as a sushi bar and Italian meals as well. The Vice President of Fresh Catch, Derek Barber said “For a more casual experience, the café is perfect. It’s simple. The restaurant is more of an experience.”

Décor: Fresh Catch restaurant has a cool, calm feel to it. The lights are low and there are candles on the tables. It has an inviting atmosphere while still making customers feel like they are going to enjoy a night out at a sophisticated restaurant (though it is a great place for families as well).
Drinks: The restaurant has a full liquor license and offers many specialty drinks as well as a good sized wine list. The oatmeal cookie martini ($8) tastes like the real thing and is worth every cent.

Appetizers: Everything from raw bar items like oysters to fried calamari to lobster rangoons. The menu offers something for everyone, even those who are not into seafood could get hand breaded onion rings or buffalo chicken tenders.
Entrees: If you are a seafood lover, this is the place for you.
“The sushi is great and very popular. The fried clam plate or baked haddock are probably the most popular dishes” said Derek.
However, the owner of the North Easton location, Bill Sarro, is Italian, so there are many pasta dishes available. “Our chicken parmesan is outstanding. And no one ever finishes it because it’s just huge” Derek explained.
It is clear that at both locations, they take their name to heart, making sure everything is fresh for their customers. “We can get anything you want, fresh or frozen. We do catering and are happy to find any type of sea food or fish you like - Red Snapper for example”.
Sides: Most meals come with a side salad and your choice of vegetable and potato, rice, or fries. Sweet potato fries, a hot menu item lately, is also available for a little bit extra.
Desserts: Of course there is dessert, but the entrée portions are very generous, so you might want to get yours to go!
Service: The staff was accommodating, happy to please, and ready to serve.
Miscellaneous: Much that is offered at the restaurant is also offered at the café, except for sushi and alcohol. The café also sells fresh seafood customers can buy to cook themselves and often has some great specials.
“It is important to check our website because sometimes we have some great deals but not a lot of people know about us even though we have been here for ten years” said Derek.
Overall, Fresh Catch has something for everyone. Whether you are looking for a take out, a fine dining experience, a casual bite to eat, or fresh seafood to prepare yourself, Fresh Catch in Easton is the place to go.
