Never Quit
Join Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine at their annual 5K race on Saturday, May 18 in support of Matt Brown.

The power of dedication and determination can be summed up in one story, the story of Matt Brown. As marathoner, a college student, a spokesperson for the Prove People Wrong Campaign, Matt Brown’s story is an inspiration for us all.
During his Sophmore year in high school, Matt Brown incurred a life changing injury. While playing hockey for the Norwood High School, he suffered fractures of the C4 and C5 vertebrae in his neck and sustained significant bruising of his spinal cord. These injuries instantly caused Matt to become paralyzed from the chest down. However, this devastating injury did not get Matt down. Matt Brown never quits.
Matt currently attends Stonehill college and also just recently completed the 2013 Hyannis Marathon with his running partner, Luke Carr, to raise money for the Boston Bruins Foundation, which will be distributed to charities across the state.

It’s been over three years since Matt incurred this injury that has left him confined to his wheelchair and requires him to be in need of 24 hour care. With the therapy he receives at Journey Forward, Matt perseveres in his battle to regain feeling and function in his arms and legs.
At Marathon Physical Therapy, we want to do anything we can do to support Matt through his journey to recovery. We are proud to once again host our 3rd Annual Marathon Physical Therapy 5K race at Norwood High School on Saturday, May 18 in honor and support of Matt Brown. Join us for this very special event and help us continue our support for this individual who is a true inspiration for us all.
