Our House Has Its Siding!
Update on the Old Colony Habitat for Humanity house in Norton.

Hi Norton residents (and anyone else reading this) -- have you been watching our Habitat house rise from the dirt lot to its present whiteness? Yes, we have it sided, and we're working on the front porch, a personal favorite. (Check out the pics on our Web site, www.oldcolonyhabitat.org).
This is what I love about Habitat: it brings out the community and the best we have to offer someone who has so much less. If you've ever been a part of a volunteer team (for any nonprofit), you know just what I'm talking about, right? Everyone's smiling, laughing, maybe learning new skills, and being grateful for the chance to give back.
As they say, doesn't get much better than that.

We're taking a short break on the building; we're way ahead of schedule (thanks to our awesome team!) and we're just waiting to get the utilities scheduled and everything installed.
So, if you'd like to volunteer, check out our Web site -- www.oldcolonyhabitat.org -- and click on the VolunteerUp button on the right-hand side. We're be looking for volunteers in early December, so if you'd like the chance, please be patient. We still have lots for you to do.
