Summer on the Norton Rez
The hot days of summer are here. Lets all enjoy the waters of the Reservoir in a safe manner!

The hot weather is a great time to explore the Norton Rez with Norton Kayak Company. We offer guided tours daily at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and a sunset tour at 5:30 p.m.
We meet lots of new friend over the past week and introduced them to kayaking. Wildlife sightings included river otters, great blue heron, mute swans and diving osprey
Despite the warm waters, be sure to wear your lifevest. One kayak fisherman found out the hard way. He capsized without a lifevest and needed to be rescued. Thanks to those who came to his aid. No matter what time of year you should always wear your lifevest. IT WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!!!

The fishing continues to be hot!Lots of largemouth bass being caught all over the Rez.Berkley power worms and small perch like baits are working great. Please practice catch and release to ensure the health of our fish population.
The warm weather brings alot of people the the Rez and lets hope all those using the islands to camp will carry out all that they bring in to the Rez. There has been an issue again this season with campers leaving a mess!!! Take your trash with you and leave the camp sites clean for other to enjoy. Its our Rez, lets treat it like it deserves to be treated.

On a final note, always be aware and respectful of Massachusetts boating laws. Operate within the laws of the town and state. If you see a boating violation, report it to the environmental police at 1-800-632-8075.
See you on the water. Be safe Dave Lennon.
