Bruce Hambro presents "Cole Porter & Irving Berlin" at Wingate Residences at Norton

Wingate Residences at Norton will welcome historian Bruce Hambro for a presentation on famous 20th century composers Cole Porter and Irving Berlin on Sunday, July 24 at 3 p.m. Porter and Berlin are two of the most celebrated songwriters of the 20th century, having penned the music and lyrics for such classics as “Night and Day,” “Anything Goes” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” (Porter), as well as “Cheek to Cheek,” “White Christmas” and “Blue Skies” (Berlin). Hambro, a former history teacher who now gives interactive programs on famous entertainers and musical composers, will discuss the life and work of Porter and Berlin, as well as the friendship they had.
