Cameron Stalters recognized as top Field Athlete

Fitchburg State's Cameron Stalters was named the ECAC Division III New England Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week as announced by the organization yesterday.

Stalters, a sophomore, earns his fourth weekly accolade of the spring season after placing first overall in the javelin with an Open New England qualifying toss of 67.23 meters (220'7") at the Elmer Swanson Outdoor Classic Invitational, hosted by Wesleyan University on Saturday afternoon. With that toss, Stalters currently ranks third in nation in the Javelin and will be attending National Competition in Ohio next month.

Stalters was on the Norton High School Track & Field team coached by Lars Tenglin in the Javelin.
