'Cannabutter' Bust in Norton: ICYMI
Jon Nason, of Norton, was arrested and charged with dealing "cannabutter" — marijuana-infused butter.
NORTON, MA — A Norton man was charged with a host of crimes after he was found with a large quantity of "cannabutter" and thousands in cash, police announced this week.
Jon Nason, 38, was arrested Fri., Sept. 16, after police said an officer pulled Nason's black Nissan Pathfinder over because he was traveling the wrong way down East Main Street at about 6:10 p.m. Nason had a warrant out of Attleboro for drug dealing, police said, so he was arrested on the spot. A search of his vehicle turned up a "large amount" of cannabutter — marijuana-infused butter — marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a safe with over $16,000 in cash, police said.
Nason was charged with drug possession with intent to district and a driving violation. He posted $50,000 bail pending an arraignment Monday in Attleboro District Court.
