Collision Sends Four to Hospital

No charges filed at this time.

A head-on collisision between two cars late Saturday night sent two passengers to the hospital.

Norton Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of 421 Old Colony Road at 11:57 for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The head-on collision involved two vehicles; one headed west on Old Colony Road and one headed east.Β 

Two injured passengers from one vehicle were transported to Sturdy Hospital by Attleboro Fire and Mansfield Fire. Two injured passengers from the other vehicle were both transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Norton Fire and Attleboro Fire. No information on the passengers' conditions are available at this time.

Old Colony Road was closed for approximately four hours after the crash. Β 

Attleboro Police assisted Norton Police at the scene.Β The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was contacted and responded to the scene.

Because the crash is under investigation by Norton Police and Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction, no charges have been filed at this time.
