Traffic Delays Likely Saturday
Kiss Concert, Wheaton commencement, Reach the Beach Relay and youth baseball and softball games all taking place.
It's going to be busy in town this Saturday with the Reach the Beach Relay,Β Wheaton commencement ceremony, a concert at Comcast and youth baseball.
Reach the Beach will run through Norton from approximately 2:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Runners will come into town from Easton's Bay Road and cross onto Route 123. The first checkpoint in town is at . They will then make their way down Power Street then S. Worcester Street until they reach . From there they will head into Taunton.
The commencement ceremony will begin 10 a.m. If you are attending this, the graduation will take place on the campus green, also known as "The Dimple." If it rains, the ceremony will be moved to the Haas Athletic Center on campus. The keynote speaker will beΒ Janet L. Robinson, retired president and CEO of the New York Times Company and chair of the board of trustees at Salve Regina University.
