An informal, monthly group designed for parents and guardians of children with special needs to discuss concerns and share with each other useful strategies and resources relating to home, school or community.
The facilitator is a special education attorney who has also worked as a teacher and social worker. The agenda will be set by the participants.
Possible topics : Special education services in school, discipline at home or in school, parent support services, bullying, state and federal benefit programs, planning for the future of your special needs child.
