Police said a 41-year-old Mashpee man driving a Toyota Tacoma on the northbound side of the highway swerved into the southbound lane and struck a Toyota Yaris head-on. The driver of the Yaris was killed, police said. His/her identity was not released.
The Mashpee man was injured and expected to survive. A passenger in the Yaris was also injured and expected to survive. They were transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
