Fire on Charlotte Avenue Destroys Garage

A garage on Charlotte Avenue was destroyed, after a fire broke out late Saturday night, on June 18.  No injuries were reported, and the Norton Fire Department has not yet given a cause for the fire. 

 Firefighters were called to the scene at 11:54 p.m., at which time flames were shooting through the roof of the 24-foot, by 24-foot structure.    Firefighters from Norton and Easton fought the fire, but they could not save the garage, which was a total loss.

 The garage was located 20 feet from a house, and though it did not reach the home, the radiant heat damaged the house’s siding.
