Learning to Share at Elisabeth Amen Nursery at Wheaton College

Preschoolers donate their Halloween candy to the US Troops and stock the food pantry!

Each year the children at the Elisabeth Amen Nursery School at Wheaton College learn about caring for others by sharing with the community. This year thirty-nine pounds of Halloween Candy was donated to US Troops and Military families through Operation Gratitude, and the children are stocking school boxes with food for local food pantries. In December the children will gather new books for families in need through Wheaton College’s Office for Service, Spirituality, and Social Responsibility. The children happily bring items into school and are experiencing that it feels good to give something to someone else. We appreciate the supportive families that participate in these charitable projects at our school.
