Michael J. Tougias presents A Storm Too Soon
Author Michael J. Tougias will give a slide presentation on his new book A Storm Too Soon: A True Story of Disaster, Survival and Incredible Rescue (book signing to follow). This dramatic and inspiring program tells of the 2007 disaster that prompted one of the largest and most intense rescues in Coast Guard history. This program is free, open to the public, and suitable for all ages. Tougias will use slides of the storm, the survivors, and the rescue. Amazingly the Coast Guard helicopter crew photographed the men in the raft being pounded by towering waves.

He has received the American Library Association “Editors' Choice” Award and the Independent Publishers “Best Nature Book of the Year” award.
