Thanksgiving is around the corner and many of you fellow Americans and Nortonites are going to your local grocery store or warehouse store getting the usual Thanksgiving Food Staples, you know turkey and mashed potatoes and gravy and cranberry sauce and bread and butter and pies and all sorts of yummy foods for thanksgiving and today, I went to BJ’s Wholesale Club in Taunton to check out the price of foods for Thanksgiving and first of all, started off with the Turkeys and there was the Butterball Fresh Turkeys that the store was selling and the 10-16lb Turkeys sold at a range from $11 to $15.50 and the 16 to 24lb turkeys were sold in a range from $17 to $20 and if you got a small family I would suggest that you purchase the Butterball 10 to 16lb variety and if you have a large family, you would go for the 16lb to 24lb version of the big turkey and the more guests you have at your house, the bigger size of the turkey you have to offer and then starting off with the sides, the Mashed Potatoes were selling were the Betty Crocker Potato Buds, the 2pk/18oz size were selling at $5.99 and for the Gravy, I saw the Heinz Turkey Gravy they were selling and it was a 3pk Heinz Turkey Gravy for a price of $4.49 and for the Cranberry Sauce, I tried to look for the Ocean Spray bag of cranberries at BJ’s but there was no bag of cranberries on stock, so I decided to stick with the Ocean Spray 6pk cranberry sauce sold in a can for $6.99 and the Bread and Butter, I found these bag of Finger Rolls and there were 18 rolls in a bag and the Butter, I found this Country Crock 5lb butter spread at $5.29 at the Store and for the bag of oranges for the alternate way for dessert instead of pies for a healthier version of the desert, there was the 1lb of Tropicana Navel Oranges sold at $7.99 and for the Pies, BJ’s had 4 varieties of pies and there was the 9” Blueberry Crumb pie sold at $7.99 and the rest of the pie varieties were sold in the 12” variety were the Pumpkin Pie sold at $5.99 and Pecan Pie and Apple Pie at $9.99 and for the stuffing, there was the Stove Top Stuffing sold in a big box in a 6pk packets sold at $8.99 a box and those who want to have an appetizer before the big turkey dinner, would suggest you purchase either the Del Monte Vegetable Tray 36oz at $7.99 or the Del Monte Fruit Tray 45oz at $8.99 and there you have it---The Price of Thanksgiving Food, the 2013 version.
