'Never Forget' Veterans Day Run Comes to Norton

From Thanks To Yanks:

The Thanks To Yanks 1st Annual “Never Forget” Veterans Day 5 Miler Run and 2 Miler Walk will take place on November 12, 2016 at 38 Summer St. Norton, MA at 9am. In cooperation with the Fillmore-Nason Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8049 and our major sponsor the Downtown Café, all proceeds from the event will be used to support our military members and veterans in South Eastern Massachusetts. Register here and early registration entry fee is $20. Day of run, registration will open at 7:30am, however entry fee after October 21, 2016 is $25.00.

Thanks To Yanks, is a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families. In 2016, over 94% of Thanks To Yanks donations have gone directly back to our military and veterans. The 1st Annual “Never Forget” Veterans Day 5 Miler Run and 2 Miler Walk will provide assistance to those that have sacrificed so much for us.

Run details:

• Trophies for first place overall Male and Female winners.
• Awards given to first and second place Male and Female in six (6) different age categories, 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+.
• Water station, timing and t-Shirts will be provided to all participants.
• There are indoor facilities and plenty of on-site parking available.
• Course is rural and mostly flat.
• Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
