Norton Man Placed Under Arrest for Breaking and Entering

On Saturday, April 16, Norton police arrested Robert Blomstrom, 27, of Norton, on an arrest warrant issued out of Attleboro District Court.

The arrest warrant was sought by after an investigation by Norton detectives led them to believe Blomstrom was a suspect in a breaking and entering of a residence on Margaret Drive on April 4. Blomstrom was placed under arrest at his residence and transported to the Norton police station. He is being held on $5,000 cash bail.
 
Blomstrom is charged with breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, over $250 in malicious destruction of property and larceny over $250.

Blomstrom was also arrested for the possession of class C drugs, breaking and entering in the daytime, with the intent to commit a felony and receiving over $250 in stolen property. Several reports of a suspicious male in the neighborhood that day led to the arrest.

"He has been arrested three times this year for crimes such as breaking and entering and larceny," said Norton Police Lieutenant Todd Jackson. "Other than that, he has been arrested once in 2007 and once in 2005, both for motor vehicle offenses."
