Norton Obituaries for the Week of June 8

Tina C. (Yackle) Miller, 45, a resident of Norton for the past 15 years, died Monday, June 4, 2012 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston after a period of failing health. She was the wife of David W. Miller for 23 years.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., a daughter of Raymond Yackle of Eden, NY and the late Carol (Witherell) Yackle, she was raised in Eden, NY. and was a 1984 graduate of Eden High School. She then continued her education at Johnson & Wales University to study culinary arts, which is where she met her husband, David, and graduated with her masters in hospitality administration in 1989.

Mrs. Miller was employed as a food service manager for Epicurean Feast at Boston Scientific in Natick. A devoted wife and mother, she attended all of her children's activities and events.

She loved to bake, especially birthday and wedding cakes for many family and friends. Her hobbies included reading, gardening, softball and going to movies and she was an avid Red Sox and Patriot fan.

In addition to her husband, David, and her father, she is survived by two children, Victoria M. Miller and Nicole T. Miller both of Norton; her siblings, Timothy Yackle and his wife Sue of N.Y., Terri Yackle of FL., Tracie Schara and her husband Rick of N.Y., and Tami Yackle of PA.; her in-laws, Wayne and Veronica Miller of Raynham, John Miller and his wife Maria of Bridgewater and Brian Miller and his wife, Amy, of Raynham; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. Miller's memory may be sent to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA. 02284-9168.
