
The Massachusetts Department of Education released the 2011 MCAS scores yesterday, and Norton Public Schools passed the test. According to information on Boston.com, all Norton schools combined beat out state MCAS results, with the majority of the student body being placed into the "proficient" category.
The majority only shifted to other categories twice, with 46 percent of fourth grade mathmatics falling under "Needs Improvement" and 52 percent of 10th grade mathmatics scores in the "Advanced" category.
