Norton Police File Vehicular Homicide Charges
Unborn child lost due to complications from May 19 crash.

Charges have been filed against Taunton resident David Boulter, 32, whose vehicle crashed into another car May 19 with a pregnant woman inside.
The victim was a passenger travelling west on Old Colony Road when Boulter's car, coming from the east, hit her head on. She was 6 months pregnant at the time, and lost the baby as a result of the crash.
Police did not release the name of the victim.

Boulter told police that he had fallen asleep while driving, and crossed the center line and into the opposite lane of travel.
"Alcohol was not a factor in the crash," Norton Police lieutentant Todd Jackson said in a press release.

Boulter, of Daisy Street, Taunton, has been charged with motor vehicle homicide, negligent operation of a vehicle and marked lanes violation. Β
and responded to the area of 421 Old Colony Road at 11:57 for a report of a motor vehicle crash.Β Old Colony Road was closed for approximately four hours after the crash, which sent four in total to the hospital. Β
Attleboro Police assisted Norton Police at the scene.Β The Massachusetts State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was contacted and responded to the scene.
