Norton Police Investigating Attempted Robbery

A suspect allegedly attempted to rob Tedeschi’s Food Shops on West Main Street on Wednesday night.

Norton Police responded to the store at 5:46 p.m. after a report of an attempted unarmed robbery.

“The store clerk reported that a white male dressed in black clothing, black hooded sweatshirt, black mask partially covering his face, and white sneakers attempted to take money from the cash register as it was opened by the clerk,” said Norton Police.

“After a brief struggle with the clerk, the male fled on North Worcester Street. No weapon was shown and no one was injured in the incident. It is uncertain at this time if anything was taken during the struggle.

“The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Norton Police Department.”
