Horses and Coyotes in Norton Police Log: Aug. 14 - 15
The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Aug. 14
2:23 a.m.: S. Worcester Street. Police arrested Tyler Reese, 18, of S. Worcester Street, and charged him with possession of liquor under the age of 21, number plate violation and possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.
8:24 a.m.: Hadley Road, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Caller reporting three unlocked vehicles were gone through by someone overnight. A GPS, Garvin NUVI and the owners manual/registration from one of the vehicles were taken. Reporting party will be contacting the registry regarding the registration. Caller reports $5 in quarters was taken as well as a pair of wraparound sunglasses with case.
2:24 p.m.: Union Road, refer to other agency. Walk-in from CSX Railroad reporting low hanging telephone wire over the tracks. Verizon advised and will dispatch a crew.
3:13 p.m.: Alder Road, harassment/threats. Subject into station reports harassing phone calls and text messages.
3:20 p.m.: S. Worcester/Power Street, animal incident. Passerby flagging people down because of horses in the street. Owner has her horses back on her property.
4:57 p.m.: W. Hodges Street, animal incident. Caller reports that his pregnant daughter went out to get the mail and saw two coyotes coming towards her. Brian Plante notified and is going to swing by.
6:33 p.m.: Garrett Drive, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Walk-in reporting his vehicle was broken into. His registration and a knife were stolen.
6:57 p.m.: Cobb Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports her and her daughter were riding their bikes when her brother tried to run them off the road. Report taken. Also, the resident gave Patrolman Turcotte used needles and old medicines that he'll be dropping them off at Norton Fire Department.
9:34 p.m.: Plain Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Reporting party has the subject detained and at the residence. Patrolman Turcotte reports all clear, no breaking and entering, hold plate for further investigation. Family requests extra patrols in the rear of the property at Stone Run Drive.
Wednesday, Aug. 15
4:50 p.m.: E. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. No injuries, less than $1,000 in damage. Both drivers denied medical attention.
9:07 p.m.: Walter Street, identity theft. Male walk-in reporting someone tried to use his information to buy a vehicle. He was advised.
10:07 p.m.: Cross Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries.Cross Street is closed until the vehicle is removed.
