Norton Police Log: Dec. 24 - 30

Saturday, Dec. 24
1:49 a.m.: Old Colony Road. Police arrested Derek J. Oliver, 28, of Attleboro, and charged him with marked lanes violation and operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor.
8:21 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, larceny.
9:29 a.m.: John Scott Boulevard, fraud/embezzlement. Mystery shopper with possible fraudulent money order. Advised to contact post office and Attorney General office.
12:58 p.m.: N. Washington Street, vandalism. Illegally parked truck damaged construction area.
1:26 p.m.: Cottage Street/W. Main St., motor vehicle accident. Caller reports car versus tree with injuries. Landscape damage. Citation issued and report taken.
7:04 p.m.: E. Main Street/Route 495 South, motor vehicle accident. Requests a rescue to evaluate a 3 month old baby.
7:15 p.m.: E. Main Street, domestic disturbance.

Sunday, Dec. 25
7:25 a.m.: Power Street, motor vehicle accident. Damage to trees and sign.

Monday, Dec. 26
2:27 p.m.: Newland Street, motor vehicle accident. Landscape damage.
7:09 p.m.: Alder Road, general disturbance. Caller reports while outside a silver vehicle with a spoiler on the back went by with two female occupants swearing and threw eggs at brother’s vehicle. Area search negative for vehicle at this time.

Tuesday, Dec. 27
11:12 a.m.: N. Washington Street, harassment/threats. Adolescent concerned about harassment via XBox live chat. Microsoft security contacted; subpoena would be needed to pursue further.
11:13 a.m.: S. Washington Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports housekeeper found a small amount of marijuana outside room that the guest dropped.
12:31 p.m.: Rubin Drive, domestic disturbance.

Wednesday, Dec. 28
1:10 a.m.: Peter Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.
6:10 a.m.: Burt Street, suspicious condition. Call from Lifeline reporting a subject attempted break into residence. Caller reports male seen running from her residence down driveway towards Heather Trail. All cars enroute. Front Desk reports receiving call from State Police reporting they are in the area with a dog if needed.
7:50 a.m.: Stephen Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Larceny of GPS.
5:32 p.m.: Bay Road, animal incident. Deer struck by motor vehicle. Deer has left into the woods.

Thursday, Dec. 29
2:08 a.m.: N. Washington Street, motor vehicle accident with injury and property damage to mailbox.
8:16 a.m.: Downing Drive, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports someone possibly breaking into house from the roof. Phone line cut and they are staying in residence. Clear, possibly an animal, negative results.
9:07 a.m.: Old Taunton Avenue, vandalism. Driveway egged.
6:23 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle theft. Caller reporting his son’s car was stolen.

Friday, Dec. 30
10:59 a.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident, left scene. Caller reports vehicle was struck when she was in the physical therapy building.
8:22 p.m.: Old Taunton Avenue, assisted the fire department with intoxicated male who fell.
10:10 p.m.: Brushwood Lane, Attleboro. Assisted Attleboro Police Department in surrounding a house with a car jacking suspect inside.
