Norton Police Log: Feb. 24 - March 2

Thursday, Feb. 24
12:01 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries.
8:28 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, general disturbance. Caller reports a male party outside banging and hitting the building.
Friday, Feb. 25
3:13 a.m.: Bay Road. Police arrested Shawn M. Washburn, 19, of Whitestore Road, Wingate, South Carolina, and charged him with possession of liquor under the age of 21, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and threatening to commit a crime.
3:39 a.m.: Bay Road. Police arrested Colin J. Hoyt, 19, of Bay Road, and charged him with possession of liquor under the age of 21.
6:16 a.m.: Bay Road. Police arrested Cynthia Davis, 19, of Howard Avenue, Attleboro, and charged her with possession of liquor under the age of 21 and disorderly conduct.
12:32 p.m.: Fordham Drive, vandalism. House paintballed.
5:15 p.m.: Freeman Street, animal incident. Caller reporting a deer that was struck. The deer was still alive. Deer put down. Female transported to Sturdy Memorial for neck pain.
5:29 p.m.: N. Worcester Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Canvas negative. Two items removed to be processed.
Sunday, Feb. 26
10:53 a.m.: Grove Lane, vandalism. Dead duck in yard believed to be vandalism.
11:19 p.m.: Thayer Farm, Attleboro, assisted Attleboro Police Department with house break. Assisted with perimeter check.
Monday, Feb. 27
4:31 a.m.: Samoset Street, vandalism of mailbox.
1:14 p.m.: Hill Street, larceny of steel from construction site.
Tuesday, Feb. 28
2:53 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries.
4:02 p.m.: Goldenwood Drive, harassment/threats. Caller reports coming home and there are five packages on her doorstep, addressed to her son. Caller reports recent issues where son is getting pizzas delivered to the house that they didn't order.
4:42 p.m.: N. Lakeview Road, domestic disturbance.
8:15 p.m.: N. Lakeivew Road, vandalism of motor vehicle by son.
11:10 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller is sister of resident of above and wants a log note made for harassment from the downstairs neighbor. She reports he bangs on the walls and ceiling to harass the resident at all hours of the day and night. She is filing a report with the housing authority but wanted it logged in the police records.
Wednesday, Feb. 29
8:31 a.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.
10:35 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, suspicious condition. Caller reports an unwanted male party is at her house who has stolen jewelry from her. Taken into custody.
1:40 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.
7:10 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, motor vehicle accident. Vehicle slid off roadway. Vehicle towed.
12:35 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports he may have hit a deer, but does not see any sign of the deer. Reports major damage to his vehicle but not injured.
Thursday, March 1
5:01 a.m.: John Scott Boulevard, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Base of pole appears shifted. National Grid advised.
5:12 a.m.: Richardson Avenue, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Over $1,000 in damages.
3:19 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, suspicious condition. Caller reporting possible email scam. She received two checks and was advised to cash them, then send the money to an address in the Phillipines.
11:55 p.m.: Oak Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports he was involved in a Motor vehicle crash. He is not injured and walked to his house to call it in. Caller advised to return to scene. Caller reports his cell phone was not working and called from home just over the line. Vehicle towed.
Friday, March 2
7:22 a.m.: Todd Drive, harassment/threats. Caller reports harassment by her husband over child custody issues. Advised to go to court house if she feels the need.
12:03 p.m.: Dean Street, breaking and entering of a building. Caller reports garage was broken into overnight.
12:38 p.m.: Power Street, larceny. Wiring in garage cut and removed.
3:48 p.m.: Lincoln Street, larceny of jewelry. Small jewelry box was taken for printing and a
voluntary statement form was left.
3:56 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Middleborough Police Department with pursuit. Area search negative.
9:55 p.m.: Noyes Street, general disturbance. Caller reports youths knocking on doors and running and throwing rocks at houses. Youths located, police spoke with parents.
