Norton Police Log: Jan. 28 - Feb. 3

The following information was supplied by the Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Saturday, Jan. 28
12:22 a.m.: Route 123, assisted the State Police with a felony stop for a vehicle involved in a shooting in Attleboro.
1:25 a.m.: Norton Glen Road, general disturbance. Caller reports noise complaint; intoxicated males loud and banging on the walls. All quiet upon arrival and no one came to the door. Report to be made to Norton Glen.
1:46 a.m.: W. Main Street, assisted the fire department for male party who has fallen in the parking lot bleeding from the head. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
9:23 a.m.: Kensington Road, vandalism to mailbox.
11:41 a.m.: Middlesex Avenue, vandalism to mailbox.
12:52 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, harassment.
6:29 p.m.: 10 Filmore Drive, assisted Wheaton Public Safety for a a male who possibly has a knife. Reported by a female student who was involved in some incident last night with same male.
8:22 p.m.: Reservoir Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports three boys using a laser pointer at passing motor vehicles. Area checked negative.
10:20 p.m.: E. Main Street, sex offense. Report of attempted rape.

Sunday, Jan. 29
1:27 a.m.: E. Hodges Street, motor vehicle accident versus deer. Damage appears less than $1,000. Search for deer negative.
2:35 a.m.: S. Washington/Plain Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports hearing what sounded like 15 gunshots. Area search negative.
9:53 a.m.: Walker Street, vandalism to mailbox.
10:05 a.m.: Cross Street, vandalism to mailbox.
11:02 a.m.: Old Colony Road, general services. Employee possibly mishandling money.
12:20 p.m.: King Philip Road, general disturbance. Caller works for a porta-potty service and reports due to a disagreement between the owner and renter of the property, he is unable to get the potty as it may be locked in a garage. Spoke with owner.
1:00 p.m.: Power Street, fraud. Caller reports he gave his coworker his ATM card to purchase water and has noticed there is more money taken out. ATM card was cancelled. Caller advised that since purchase was made in Johnston, R.I., he is to contact Johnston, R.I. Police Department.
1:36 p.m.: Pine Street, vandalism. Damage to mailbox, residence egged.
1:37 p.m.: McTee Drive, vandalism to mailbox.
5:21 p.m.: Burt Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports a male was parked in front of her residence "for a while" watching her children. She approached the male and he was very vague. Has since left the area.
7:42 p.m.: Reservoir Street, suspicious condition. Attempt to locate someone with a laser.

Monday, Jan. 30
9:05 a.m.: Evergreen Road, larceny of trash bins.
9:39 p.m.: W. Main Street, harassment/threats. Caller reports getting over 60 text messages from her aunt. She was advised about getting a harassment prevention order and will go to court in the morning. Aunt spoken to on phone.
6:16 a.m.: Hill Street, vandalism. Caller reports house in under construction and he just arrived on scene and door is busted, but does not appear anything was taken.

Tuesday, Jan. 31
9:05 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Vehicle clipped another vehicle’s mirror. No injuries or fluid leaks. Damage less than $1,000.
1:15 p.m.: N. Main Street, harassment/threats.
6:24 p.m.: E. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. Female claiming head pain. No fluid leaks. Transporting two and a family member to Brockton City Hospital.
6:42 p.m.: E. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. Mother and child evaluated for injuries. Citation issued for a town by-law violation for marijuana.

Wednesday, Feb. 2
12:58 a.m.: W. Main Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports he was at Hess Gas Station and heard three gunshots coming from the area of Housing for the Elderly. Caller reports he believes came from a 45 Caliber. Search of the area yielded negative results.
11:35 a.m.: Old Colony Road, motor vehicle accident hit and run in a parking lot.
6:55 p.m.: Cottage Street, annoying phone calls.
10:18 a.m.: Cottage Street, general disturbance. Ex-employee refuses to leave the premise.
11:30 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, assisted DCF and New Bedford Police Department with attempting to locate a missing female with a Children in Need of Services warrant.

Thursday, Feb. 3
3:15 p.m.: Perry Street, motor vehicle accident hit and run. Mailbox damaged.
3:16 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Property damage to Dunkin Donuts.
11:57 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted the fire department for a male with a cut to the hand.
Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
