Breaking and Entering in Norton Police Log: July 11 - 13

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, July 11
2:14 a.m.: Oak Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports white male just ran through his back yard with items in his arms. Caller reports the male came from the area of Maggie Lane and is heading towards Route 123. Caller was coming out of his bulkhead when he almost collided with the subject. Area checks negative, will be doing extra patrols tonight.
1:07 p.m.: Penny Lane, Easton. Assisted Easton Police Department with search for breaking and entering suspect.
1:52 p.m.: Patlena Drive, larceny. Caller reporting larceny of items by workers.
4:47 p.m.: E. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. No injuries, possible fluid leak.
5:18 p.m.: Reservoir Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports his residence was broken into, multiple items taken.
7:02 p.m. Todd Drive, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports breaking and entering while she was away from residence. Β 
7:24 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports gunshots being fired near the railroad tracks. Sergeant Eisnor reports the sound is coming from a couple hundred yards down the tracks, he's on foot. Area checked negative.
9:39 p.m.: Woodland Road, general disturbance. Caller reports hearing gunshots from the woods. Area search negative, spoke to a couple of neighbors who heard fireworks a little ago.

Thursday, July 12
1:10 a.m.: Norton Glen Road, suspicious condition. Call from a female asking to send a car. Patrolman Schleicher requests rescue to check a 28 year old pregnant female, involved in a domestic incident.
2:04 p.m.: Norton Glen Road. Police arrested Darric L. Hollingsworth, 40, of Norton Glen Road, and charged him with assault and battery and intimidating a witness.
9:45 a.m.: Carpenter Road, suspicious condition. Caller reports a male approached his house and attempted to gain entry by turning door knobs. When they were locked he left. Peddler going door to door with educational material. Advised the reporting party states he did attempt to open the door without anyone answering it.
10:49 a.m.: N. Washington Street, motor vehicle accident. Struck the stop sign.
1:16 p.m.: W. Main Street, assisted Norton Fire Department for camper not feeling well. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
2:08 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No injuries but there is property damage to fence.
4:55 p.m.: Lincoln Street, breaking and entering of a residence.
5:49 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, motor vehicle accident with injuries. Vehicle removed from ditch. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
7:16 p.m.: E. Main Street, breaking and entering of a residence.
9:15 p.m.: Olympia Street, general disturbance. Caller reports daughter and boyfriend are not welcome on property, and would like a no trepass order issued.
9:17 p.m.: Leonard Street, domestic disturbance.
4:54 a.m.: Faith Way, suspicious condition. Harassment. Caller also reports a MP3 player and a notebook was taken from her vehicle. Advised to go to the courthouse to take out a harassment prevention order.
12:36 p.m.: W. Hodges Street, general services. Downed wire across the road, obstructing traffic. The wire was removed from the road. Comcast was advised.
