Norton Police Log July 31-Aug. 2: Assault, Theft Arrests and Vandalism

July 31

11:14 a.m. A representative from Morton Hospital called and reported there was a Norton female in their care who had been assaulted by her boyfriend the previous night. She reportedly had a stab wound in her lower left leg.

2:33 p.m. Caller reported a past assault.

5:17 p.m. Caller reported a motor vehicle collision involving a utility pole occurred on South Washington Street. One patient was transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Aug. 1

9:17 p.m. Troy Fitzsimmons, 41, of 29 Patten Rd. was arrested for two counts of larceny, one count of creating a fraudulent check and one count of receiving stolen property.

Aug. 2

8:14 a.m. Caller reported four large wire rails were stolen from a construction site.

8:58 a.m. Caller reported the rear window of her vehicle was smashed during the night while it was parked on East Hodges Street.

2:32 p.m. Daniel Degrafft, 24, of 77 Barrows St. was arrested for receiving stolen property.
