Breaking and Entering in Norton Police Log: July 9 - 10

The following information was supplied by Norton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, July 9
10:17 a.m.: White Street, assisted other agency. Highway requesting an officer to assist while they sweep the road.
12:47 p.m.: Kensington Road, suspicious condition. Report of male in neighborhood asking questions about neighborhood children and neighbors are concerned. Similar incident occurred last week. Had peddler’s license. Explained the concerned regarding his questions and he said he made no such inquiries, but will be more sensitive.
4:29 p.m.: W. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. No apparent injuries. Wrecker needed.
5:35 p.m.: N. Washington Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports she just got home from work to find that her jewelry box and her husband’s jewelry box is gone from the residence. A couple items taken for evidence.
10:00 a.m.: John Scott Boulevard, suspicious condition. Sergeant Goodwin reports between Harvey and Dean Streets he found a milk gallon with a message on it.

Tuesday, July 10
6:31 a.m.: Faith Way, medical/medical services. Caller request rescue for 52 year old intoxicated female who has not slept in days. She reports she is on psych meds. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
11:11 a.m.: Lincoln Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reporting damage to rear door, possible attempted breaking and entering. One pane smashed in window, but no entry gained.
11:40 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Property manager reporting they have received calls stating that there is a male party living in foreclosed property. He states it may be an individual with mental issues that was associated with former owners. Interior and exterior of residence were checked, nobody is there. There are personal belongings inside. Property manager was advised to have someone secure the property and if someone is there, they can have them trespassed. They will send a contractor out and have him stop at the station
first to have an officer accompany him.
11:44 a.m.: Goldenwood Drive, general disturbance. Walk-in reporting past domestic
disturbance with her daughter who has drug abuse issues.
8:41 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, general disturbance. Caller reports what sounds like a cannon being shot off behind the house across the street. Β Also concerned because there are kids riding their dirt bikes in that area. Youths found. They report they did hear some gunfire or fireworks earlier but they are far enough into the woods where they are not an issue. All is quiet.
11:05 p.m.: Old Colony Road, general disturbance. Caller reports two males fighting, no weapons. They have moved outside, still fighting. Peace restored, all individuals have been advised.
