Norton Police Log: May 1 - 4

Tuesday, May 1
10:28 a.m.: Union Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports a duck just ran out in front of him, he has hit it and does not know what to do. Highway Department to remove the duck who is on the side of the road.

Wednesday, May 2
11:49 a.m.: Colonial Drive, larceny. Caller reports approximately $3,000 to $3,500 in missing money and jewelry.
1:08 p.m.: Old Colony Road, larceny of five car batteries from three different cars.
3:47 p.m.: Godfrey Drive, fraud/embezzlement. Walk-in reported his parents were scammed this afternoon.
4:50 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Information exchanged, vehicles left under own power.
7:25 p.m.: Barrows Court, assisted Dedham Police Department. They report a hit and run in their town. Suspect vehicle comes back to a resident. Female spoken to and reports she called Dedham Police Department.
3:48 p.m.: N. Worcester Street, motor vehicle accident. Motor vehicles leaving under the own power.

Thursday, May 3
6:32 p.m.: S. Washington Street, fraud/embezzlement. Walk in requesting incident due to her giving out her personal information to what she thought was a mortgage company.

Friday, May 4
2:03 a.m.: 18 W. Main St. Police arrested Spencer R. Deans, 22, of Beeholm Road, Redding, Conn., and charged him with negligent operation of motor vehicle, operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor and failure to use care and caution.
1:48 a.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Norton Fire Department. Callers reports subject with cut on his leg and bleeding. Transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
9:03 a.m.: Bay Road, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports truck struck pole and left. Several wires down. National Grid advised.
11:27 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, harassment/threats from a neighbor.
5:02 p.m.: Mansfield Avenue, harassment/threats by girlfriend’s ex.
9:18 p.m.: E. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports his daughter was just involved in an accident. Information exchanged.
9:56 p.m.: E. Main Street, medical emergency. Walk in reporting a female possibly in labor in the front parking lot. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
