Norton Police Log: Oct. 15 - 21

Saturday, Oct. 15

12:29 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, general disturbance. Caller reports waking up to hear people outside yelling and screaming like there is a fight, does not know who they are.

8:07 p.m.: W. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Paperwork exchanged.

9:18 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reporting intoxicated driver backed into building and is now parked by the dumpsters.

10:12 p.m.: N. Worcester Street, animal incident. Caller reporting vehicle struck deer in area of four corners, no injuries. He believes the deer is deceased. Animal Control notified.

11:02 p.m.: Goldenwood Drive, assisted the fire department for youth alcohol related call.

Sunday, Oct. 16

1:05 a.m.: W. Main Street, vandalism of mailbox.

1:13 a.m.: S. Lakeview Road, vandalism. Pumpkin thrown at mailbox.

8:06 a.m.: Commerce Way, vandalism. Representative from construction crew reports lock to gate has been cut overnight. Does not appear anything has been touched but will call back if it has.

7:28 p.m.: Eddy Street, assisted the fire department. Caller reports her husband is choking. While on phone, the object was dislodged.

Monday, Oct. 17

6:00 a.m.: Pleasant Street, assisted Attleboro Police Department for suspicious package at post office.

10:27 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident with injury.

10:48 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports three weeks ago her daughter was approached by a male after getting off the school bus on S. Worcester Street. She reports an officer in an unmarked cruiser was there, witnessed the incident and spoke with her daughter. Caller reports they have seen the male in the area again and she would like to speak with involved officer. Extra patrols put in the area. Male walking a black lab.

4:16 p.m.: Wilbur Street, annoying phone calls. Employee reporting that female has called in excess of 100 times in the last 30 to 45 minutes. He reports she has been rude and swearing about a customer appreciation mailing she received. She was advised.

4:49 p.m.: E. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident.

6:18 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, suspicious condition. Caller reports male with a dark pickup looking into windows with a flashlight.

Tuesday, Oct. 18

7:16 a.m.: E. Main Street. Police arrested Stephen F. Burke, 21, of Quincy, and charged him with assault and battery on a police officer and over $250 in malicious destruction of property.

5:38 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. No reported injuries.

Wednesday, Oct. 19

1:42 a.m.: Woodlark Drive, vandalism of a mailbox.

3:25 a.m.: Park Lane, vandalism to vehicle tires.

7:59 a.m.: Library Square, motor vehicle accident. Bus accident. No students on bus, no one injured.

2:43 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident, SUV versus tree. Pole slightly shifted. National Grid notified.

5:10 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted Foxborough Police Station for warrant arrest.

9:13 p.m.: Goldenwood Drive, harassment.

Thursday, Oct. 20

6:13 a.m.: S. Washington Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Unlocked vehicle entered overnight. GPS, Sirius satellite system and work badge taken.

8:01 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, bus accident hit and run. No injuries, students transported to another bus.

10:47 a.m.: W. Main Street, trespassing. When subject left, operated vehicle erratically and almost struck a staff member.

4:40 p.m.: Taylor Court, general disturbance. Caller reporting very loud music coming from above address. She states nobody answered the phone when she called and nobody answered the door. Reporting party spoke with babysitter and they will turn the music down.

4:59 p.m.: Holmes Street, trespassing.

5:53 p.m.: W. Main Street, two-car motor vehicle accident with injuries. Transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Friday, Oct. 21

2:02 a.m.: Lincoln Street, assault. Denied medical treatment.

11:57 a.m.: S. Washington Street, assisted Taunton Police Department for vehicle being used without authority.

7:47 p.m.: W. Main Street, trespassing.

9:47 p.m.: W. Main Street, general disturbance. Caller reports large fireworks going off in the area. States it has happened the last couple of nights. Second caller reports hearing gunshots. Asked whether it could be the fireworks, she stated it may have been.

7:58 p.m.: W. Main Street. Police arrested Sonny J. Khubchandani, 17, of Maplewood Avenue, and charged him with trespassing.

11:39 p.m.: Worcester Street. Police arrested Victor Hugo Garcia, 42, of Worcester Street, and charged him with indecent assault and battery on a child younger than 14.
