Norton Police Log: Oct. 8 – 14

Saturday, Oct. 8

4:08 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, domestic disturbance.

10:15 a.m.: E. Main Street, assisted the fire department.

10:25 a.m.: Elm Street, suspicious condition. Marijuana citation issued.

11:00 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident in parking lot.

1:12 p.m.: Norton Glen Road, suspicious condition. Caller who requested to be anonymous reported Chevy Blazer driving people around attached via skateboard.

5:25 p.m.: Leonard Street, suspicious condition. Caller requested an officer to check out a male party taking pictures of houses.

8:01 p.m.: Alder Road, general disturbance. Group of youths lighting off explosives in the street. Youths advised.

10:11 p.m.: Oak Street, assisted the fire department for a 31-year-old male who fell down the stairs.

 

Sunday, Oct. 9

2:10 a.m.: N. Washington Street, vandalism of mailboxes.

7:50 a.m.: Newcomb Street, vandalism to area Halloween decorations and mailboxes.

10:40 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, motor vehicle accident. No damage to either vehicle but the subject did leave the scene.

3:13 p.m.: W. Main Street, vandalism. Malicious damage to a mailbox.

5:12 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.

7:39 p.m.: James Street, general disturbance. Report of 20-year-old daughter attempting to steal a car.

8:24 p.m.: E. Main Street, assisted another police department for identification of a subject.

 

Monday, Oct. 10

12:16 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, fraud/embezzlement. Caller reports she thinks someone is posing as her to obtain medication. CVS in Mansfield reported to her someone with her name just picked up some prescriptions. Caller reported they were not the prescriptions she was on. Caller advised caller to contact Mansfield Police Department where the incident took place.

11:20 a.m.: N. Worcester Street, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle. Vehicle unlocked, sunglasses and flashlight missing.

12:11 p.m.: Plain Street, vandalism of lawn.

4:02 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, motor vehicle accident. Caller reports vehicle ran into her neighbor’s parked car and then left. There is rear and tail light damage to her neighbor’s vehicle.

7:26 p.m.: Cross Street, general disturbance. Caller reports three youths walking down the street knocking trash barrels into the road.

 

Tuesday, Oct. 11

4:55 p.m.: N. Worcester Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Caller reports someone broke into her house, she returned home from work and multiple items were stolen. Photos and prints taken.

8:26 p.m.: Young Avenue, harassment/threats via phone.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 12

7:23 a.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident. Walk-in reporting someone backed into his vehicle in the lot overnight. Less than $1,000 in damages.

8:45 a.m.: S. Worcester Street, assisted the fire department. Caller reporting a female with a hand injury from a press. Transported to Rhode Island Hospital.

10:44 a.m.: Mansfield Avenue, larceny by checks. No charges at this time, they are trying to rectify it.

12:56 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident. No injuries. Less than $1,000 in damages. No injuries.

2:25 p.m.: Parker Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Mud room door damaged. Prints and photos taken.

4:58 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident.

5:04 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, assault by roommate. Area checked negative.

9:06 p.m.: John Scott Boulevard, domestic disturbance.

10:33 p.m.: E. Main Street, domestic disturbance.

11:37 p.m.: Sturdy Street. Police arrested Christopher D. Buck, 23, of E. Main Street, and charged him with assault and battery, less than $250 in malicious destruction of property and intimidating a witness.

 

Thursday, Oct. 13

7:52 a.m.: Arnold Palmer Boulevard, motor vehicle accident. Both vehicles left under own power.

4:40 p.m.: S. Worcester Street, breaking and entering of a residence. Entry gained through bathroom window.

6:57 p.m.: Taunton Avenue, motor vehicle accident with injury.

 

Friday, Oct. 14

12:56 a.m.: W. Main Street, vandalism. Wheaton students in front of Wendell’s attempting to remove some of the flu shot signs from above, they will be replacing them.

11:35 a.m.: Reservoir Street, motor vehicle accident. Bicyclist struck by mirror from a motor vehicle.

11:46 a.m.: Beverly Lane, larceny.

3:29 p.m.: W. Main Street, motor vehicle accident.
