Fifteen students in town received scholarships and/or awards.

It was a night of generous giving, remembrance and celebration as 78 seniors at Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School received 109 scholarships and awards at the Class of 2012 Senior Awards Ceremony on May 22, 2012. Fifteen of those students are Norton residents.
Norton recipients are Timothy Annand, Blake Brefini, Shannon Duchaine, Danielson Gustafson, Peter Huckins, Megan Langevin, Valerie Lester, Kayla Lopes, Sabrina Lyons, Brent Medas, Derek Morawski, Andrew Ruza, Matthew Sullivan, Matthew Thomas and Jackson Tocchio.
Scholarships will be used to help students defray the cost of attending a post-secondary institution for continued education, while students entering the workplace after graduation will utilize their “toolship” awards to assist them with purchasing tools necessary to perform work in their specific vocational field.
