Norton Schools Get a Snow Day

Due to the weather, school for Norton will be closed Friday.

Heavy, wet snow and strong winds are the cause for Norton's school doors to be closed today, as a winter storm warning will remain into effect until 1 p.m. Total snow accumulations will be 8 to 12 inches. Wind will be 15 to 25 MPH with gusts up to 55 mph with temperatures in the 30s.

New Testament Christian School, Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School, Bishop Feehan High School and Cardinal Spellman High School are also closed.

This is the fourth school cancellation of the year for Norton Public Schools. Before today, the scheduled last day of school was Monday, June 24.
