Norton Selectmen Approve Sprinklers at Everett Field

The Norton Board of Selectmen voted 5-0 on Thursday to approve the installation of irrigation and grass to the Everett Leonard Field.

Norton youth league president Craig Blake requested the improvements to the field.

“The fields already look much better,” said chair Robert Kimball. “They’ve done a nice job on restoring and they’ve spent a lot of money down there.”

Selectman Mary Steele voiced her concern of who would be responsible for regular maintenance to the facility.

“Who’s going to end up taking care of that?” said town manager Michael Yunits. “I support it on the condition we figure out who’s responsible for long term maintenance.”
