Norton Storm Latest: 5,000+ Still Without Power
Over half the town remains in the dark Sunday.

NORTON, MA β Power has been restored to some homes in Norton, but over half the town remains in the dark Sunday morning, according to MEMA. The outage map showed 5,411 β 70 percent of customers β were without power as of 10:45 a.m.
Norton Superintendent Joseph Baeta said on Saturday he will communicate with teachers about flexibility regarding weekend homework, as many students and teachers lost power.
According to my info many homes without power in Norton; some students worried about weekend homework etc....Supt will communicate to teachers about flexibility; many teachers without electricity as well....all be safe and we will work to address ALL! #npspride

Many areas of town were inaccessible Saturday due to downed wires and trees, according to police. The department said it does not have information about when power will be restored and ask residents to reserve 9-1-1 for emergencies.
