Norton Students to Shadow Local Biotech Company

In a couple of weeks, students will visit Avecia, a biotechnology company in Milford as part of the second annual Statewide Biotechnology Job Shadow Day.

Norton is among 18 high schools in Massachusetts who will give 650 students the opportunity to explore life science career options by shadowing biotechnology professionals at 19 local biotech companies and research institutions in 20 locations on June 8.

The event aims to allow students to learn more about the career options that exist within the life sciences and encourage them to consider further STEM education. Students will participate in company tours, one-on-one meetings with life science professionals and a networking lunch.
