1. Norton Mosquitos Tested Positive for West Nile
The state has confirmed Norton had a case of West Nile Virus in mosquitos in Norton.Β Norton Board of Health agent Leon Dumont said there isnβt much cause for concern though, as the mosquito was a breed that only bites birds.

3. Norton Town Meeting Set for Oct. 7
Norton has scheduled its Fall Annual Town Meeting for Monday, Oct. 7, at the Norton Middle School at 7 p.m.Β The deadline for placing warrant articles will be Aug. 19, until 3:30 p.m. at the selectmen's office.
4. Gov. Patrick Releases More Funds for Norton Road Repairs
Governor Deval Patrick and his administration announced on Tuesday they would be adding $50 million to Chapter 90 for infrastructure reimbursement to Massachusetts cities and towns, making the total state contribution $200 million.The problem? Itβs still $100 million shy of what was allotted by the state legislature.
