John B. Harvey

John B. Harvey, 68, of Norton, formerly of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 25, 2013.

Born in New London, CT on Aug. 30, 1944, he was a loving and devoted son of the late Arthur W. and Annette (Thibodeau) Harvey.

John grew up and was educated in Lynn. He furthered his education to become a graduate of Salem State College.

Prior to retiring, Mr. Harvey had been employed as an Assistant Manager at the North Easton Savings Bank.

Formerly of Brockton, he had made his home in Norton for the past 13 years. John’s interests included classic cars, country music and physic readings.

He is survived by many close friends.

His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, Aug.Β 7, at 9 a.m.. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mansfield.

Visiting hours have been omitted and those wishing may remember John with a donation in his memory to the charity of ones choice.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.

Carol A. Desnoyers
Carol A. (Watterson) Desnoyers, 70, of Norton, formerly of Rehoboth and Sharon passed away surrounded be her loving family on Monday, July 29, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Armand J. Desnoyers to whom she was wed for the past 31 years.

Born in Norwood, MA on Aug. 14, 1942, she was a dear daughter of the late Leonard and Marion (Forsyth) Watterson. She grew up in Sharon and was a graduate of Sharon High School. She furthered her studies by attending Chapel Hill College.

In addition to being a devoted and loving mother and stepmother , Carol had worked as an office manager for several years at the dental practice of Dr. Arthur Volpe in Attleboro.

Mrs. Desnoyers was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Norton, where she served as a former director of the nursery and graciously provided transportation to children attending the Christian School.

A resident of Norton for the past eight years, Carol had formerly made her home in Rehoboth for 20 years. She enjoyed camping and cross country traveling; and along with her husband had volunteered their services at Scusset Beach in Sagamore, at San Carlos R.V. Park in Fort Meyers, Florida and at the Shady Knoll Campground in Brewster..

Her other interests included knitting and crocheting, and most of all, the simple pleasures of spending time with loved ones and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted and loving children, Waine Wyatt of Smithfield, RI, Robert Wyatt of Dighton, Colleen Wyatt of Easton and Debbie Ennis of Dighton. She was the dear sister of Marilyn Coyne of Walpole, Pamela Collier of Foxboro and Allan Watterson of Sharon. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Janie, Julie, Joshua, Jennifer, Amanda, Christopher, Carlos, Jr., and Joclyn, as well as her adored great granddaughters Ashyia and Lilly, and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours wereΒ held on Saturday, August 3d from 1-3 p.m.. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton.

A service in celebration of her life was held at the conclusion of visitation in the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, Carol’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Nine Lives Feline Rescue Shelter of Norton, Box 548, Norton , MA 02766.

Patricia D. (Williams) Titus

Patricia D. (Williams) Titus, 53, of Norton, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the beloved wife of Joseph C. Titus to whom she was wed on September 12, 1981.

Born in Clearwater, Florida on April 10, 1960, she was a loving daughter of Harold E. β€œBill”, Jr. and Marilyn A. (King) Williams of Norton.

Patty grew up in Norton and was a 1979 graduate of Norton High School. Following graduation she toured Europe with America’s Youth in Concert, which began with a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York.

She furthered her education and graduated with high honors from Dean Junior College in Franklin, where she received her associates degree. She had majored in theatre and minored in music.

For the past several years, she had been employed as a Water Aerobics Instructor at the YMCA Pleasant St. Branch in Attleboro.

A Norton resident for most of her life, Patty was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Norton, where she had also sang in the church choir.

She was a current member of the Notable Blend Barbershop Chorus and was a past president and director of the former Classic Sound Barbershop Chorus. She was also a former active member of the Norton Girl Scouts.

Patty was an avid worldwide traveler and enjoyed camping, arts & crafts, stenciling, photography, making hand made gifts for others, and planning parties.

In addition to her beloved husband of over 31 years and her loving parents, she is survived by her devoted brother, Everett β€œAndy” Williams and his wife Robin Williams of Cumberland, RI. She is also survived by her cherished maternal grandmother, Grace L (Andrews) Shaw of Forestdale as well as many dear nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and her best friends, β€œBailey” and β€œKharma”

Her funeral Mass was heldΒ Saturday, Aug. 3 in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial Β followed in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
