Obituary: Anthony Jozapaitis

Anthony Jozapaitis, 85, of Easton and formerly of Norton, passed away on May 23, 2013. He was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Pagonis) Jozapaitis and grew up in Pennsylvania.  He married his sweetheart Jeannette McDonald on April 2, 1950 and the two raised their children on various US Navy and Air Force bases around the world before settling in Massachusetts. He retired from the military after 19 years of service.

Anthony worked for many years as a plant manager at Hub Floral in South Boston and loved playing cards and slots at the casino and being with his family.

Anthony was the devoted husband of the late Jeannette M. Jozapaitis and loving father of Karen Ready of Fall River, Toni Ann Jozapaitis of Somerville, Mark Jozapaitis of Easton and the late John J. Jozapaitis. Loving “Pa” of Danielle, Adam, Brooke, and great grandchildren: Dylan, Reese, and Nora.   

He will be truly missed by his family who he always put first. 

Funeral from the Prophett-Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St.Bridgewater on Wed. May 29 at 9:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 580 Monponsett St. Halifax at 10:30 a.m.

Burial will follow at Central Cemetery, Halifax. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m.
