Obituary: June Chamberlain
Former physical education teacher and dean at House in the Pines in Norton passed away Aug. 15.

June Chamberlain, 92, of Plymouth, died at Jordan Hospital, Aug. 15.
June was born in Binghamton, NY, the daughter of Samuel and Esther (Thyng) Chamberlain.Β She attended Marjorie Webster Jr. College in Washington, DC and Sargent College.
She taught physical education for 29 years at the House in the Pines in Norton. For part of her time there, she was also Dean of Women. June was a unit coordinator at Jordan Hospital from 1972- 2000.

She volunteered at the Hospital for thousands of hours through 2010. June was a member of the Pilgrim Society, Plymouth Antiquarian Society, a lifetime member of the Plymouth Yacht Club, where she once taught sailing, and the Plimoth Plantation. Following her retirement she also volunteered for the American Red Cross. She was a member of Christ Church.
June leaves a brother Malcom of Shelburne, VT; a niece Susan Williams of Hilton Head, SC; and a nephew Gerald Chamberlain of Grosse Ile, MI.
