Obituary: Leighton C. Foster

Leighton C. Foster, age 79, a lifelong resident of Norton died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.

Born in Brockton, Aug. 21, 1933, he was a son of the late Leighton A. and Marjorie H. (Copeland) Foster. He grew up in Norton and had attended the Bristol County Agricultural School in Dighton.

A United States Air Force veteran, Mr. Foster had worked for several years for the Norton Highway and Water Departments.

Leighton was a very talented man. He was a familiar face around Norton and was often seen traveling around town by way of bicycle.

He was the brother of Barbara Foster of Norton and was pre-deceased by his sister Nancy Foster. Leighton is also survived by several cousins.

At the request of his family, services will be held private. Burial to be held at a later date in the Stevens Corner Cemetery in Rehoboth.
