Norton business Personal Best Karate will be hosting a blood drive this weekend a few miles away in Foxborough in honor of a breast cancer victim. Below are the full details:

Personal Best KarateΒ will host a blood driveΒ onΒ Saturday, December 14, 2013Β aboard the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Womenβs Hospital Blood Mobile,Β which will be located atΒ 36 Commercial Street, Route 140, next to Ocean State Job LotΒ fromΒ 9:00 a.m.Β toΒ 3:00 p.m.Β AllΒ blood collected at the drive will benefit patients at Dana-Farber and BrighamΒ and Womenβs.
This blood drive is in honor of Angela Anagnos Whitley, an originalΒ Personal Best Karate mom during theΒ very first year of the schoolβs opening. She was mom to her three boys,Β Christopher, Brendan and Jordan, who all trained at Personal Best.Β Life dealt Angela a tough challenge 19 yearsΒ ago with a diagnosis of breast cancer. Β

With the determination and support of people like you, she was able to liveΒ those years. Throughout that time,Β she made it a goal to educate people of the importance of giving that special giftΒ of blood / platelets. SheΒ always said,Β βThis is something money cannot buy. Only one's time will keepΒ us going and save the lives of many.βΒ Angelaβs fight ended on March 14,Β 2013.
People undergoing treatment for cancerβas well as accident victims, transplant recipients, and many other patientsβdepend on transfusions to control their bleeding. Volunteer donors are the only source of blood productsΒ for these patients.

All Angela asked was that, "If youΒ cannot give, pleaseΒ ASKΒ someone whoΒ CANΒ soΒ someone can have the chance to live.β
