A Pilgrim Thanksgiving with Gary Hylander
The first Thanksgiving, as it came to be known, was a time of plenty after many months of hunger and starvation. That these settlers survived at all was a testament to the assistance they received from the local Wampanoags. Sometime in early fall, the Pilgrims of Plymouth Colony, along with Massasoit and ninety braves “entertained and feasted” together for three days. Just in time for the holiday, join us as history professor and lecturer Gary Hylander takes us back to a Pilgrim Thanksgiving.
Program and refreshments sponsored by the Friends of the Norton Public Library.
Location: Community Room
