Police Clearing In Norton; Area Safe

Residents were asked to stay inside as officers and a SWAT team responded to reports of a person barricaded in an apartment.

NORTON, MA – The area around the Norton Glen Apartments has been deemed safe, police said. Residents were asked to stay inside Thursday morning due to police activity on Norton Glen Road.

Police responded to the apartment complex around 11:20 a.m., where a person is believed to have barricaded himself inside, the Enterprise reported.

A SWAT team are at the scene and bomb squad were called in, according to WHDH.
