Friday, Aug 22
At 7:57 a.m., police reported a tree on a wire on Taunton Avenue.
At 11:49 a.m., police reported identity fraud on Village Way.

At 5:28 p.m., police arrested Mark A. Bushey, 47, 36 Union St. of Taunton, on Old Colony Road for improper operation of a motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle with license revoted as a habitual traffic offender.

At 4:37 a.m., police reported a vehicle struck a fence and some shrubbery on New Taunton Avenue. The motor vehicle received passenger-side damage, front-end and undercarriage damage.
At 3:03 p.m., police reported a suspicious condition regarding a door-to-door solicitor asking to see electric bills on Village Way. The solicitor did not have a peddlerβs permit, and police advised the person to get one on Monday.
At 3:49 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle complaint on Mansfield Avenue regarding a blue Dodge pickup occupied by three males who were believed to be drinking and throwing beer cans out the windows.
Sunday, Aug. 24
At 2:28 p.m., police arrested Cheryl M. Benkart, 53, 106 Freeman St., on Freeman Street for assault and battery of a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
At 4:19 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident between a silver Hyundai Sonata and a silver Honda Accord with injuries on East Main Street.
At 9:47 p.m., police reported fire department assistance for a bicyclist down, possibly struck by a vehicle on Mansfield Avenue. Police observed there was no damage to the bicycle and believed the cyclist was not struck by a vehicle. Cyclist was highly intoxicated and found on the ground by a passerby.
Monday, Aug. 25
At 12:16 a.m., police reported vandalism on West Main Street. Caller reported her mailbox was knocked down by a group of Wheaton College students, and her neighborβs mailbox was thrown into the street and run over by a truck.
At 6:37 a.m., police reported breaking and entering of a 2012 Hyundai Accent on South Worcester Street. The car ownerβs DVD system and radio system were taken.
At 6:07 p.m., police reported a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Pine Street.
