Police Log: Bomb Squad Summoned, Arrest for Disorderly Conduct

Excerpts from the Norton Police Department log.

Tuesday, Aug. 26

At 3:11 a.m., police reported a missing female described as Hispanic, 4’1” tall, about 102 pounds, dark hair in a ponytail, wearing a black tank-top with white letters, jeans and high heels. The female was last seen at the Xfinity Center and spoke with her mother a few hours ago.

At 2:31 p.m., police reported IRS fraud and embezzlement on Union Road.

Wednesday, Aug. 27

At 9:56 a.m., police reported larceny of copper wire on Bay Road.

At 8:34 p.m., police reported identity theft on West Main Street where the person gave permission to someone from India to work on the person’s computer remotely.

At 9:00 p.m., police reported identity theft on Colonial Drive where the caller reported she responded to an email that turned out to be identity theft.

Thursday, Aug. 28

At 8:19 a.m., police reported wires down in the area on Beach Street.

At 5:33 p.m., police reported a two-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on Mansfield Avenue.

At 8:45 p.m., police reported a disturbance at the CVS on West Main Street. Police removed a patron who was believed to be intoxicated and was making customers uncomfortable.

Friday, Aug. 29

At 7:40 a.m., police reported a suspicious condition on Cedar Road where a female reported a white substance in a plastic bag was left in her mailbox with the flag up. State Police Bomb Squad analyzed the substance, and it was benign.

At 11:32 a.m., police reported a three-car motor vehicle accident with property damage on East Main Street. One vehicle’s engine was in the roadway and another vehicle had a fluid leak.

At 7:18 pm., police arrested Ronald A. Harrington, 57, 1180 West St. of Walpole, on Arnold Palmer Boulevard for disorderly conduct.
